Comparative and Analysis Report

This project requires students to conduct a comparative analysis of two case studies between heritage buildings in the middle age. This will familiarize students with the activities of culmination and production of a research analysis through assemblage, chronological arrangements, diagramming exercises, indices and evaluation of information; composing and organization of study; assembly of illustration and text; design layout composition; posters and general presentation.

The buildings that we had chosen are Saint Denis Basilica (the pioneer of gothic architecture), and Notre Dame de Paris (one of the best gothic architecture)

REFLECTION

This was a really hard assignment as it was one of our first group assignment in degree. Even though we knew each other well during our foundation, it is still the first time all of us are working together. History is a very hard subject, and its harder when we didn't know how to approach the subject. We tried a various different way, and ended up with a story-telling style. It was suggested by our tutor- Miss Dee, whom had a lot of fresh ideas, suggestions, and more. We also learnt to communicate with each other throughout the assignment to keep everyone updated. I also spent time learning how to use BlipAr as it is one of the submission requirements. I spent days making it, and it turned out just okay. It was a stressful assignment, but we really learnt many things. Especially on communication skills, as we cannot make it work if we didn't frequently check up on each other and making sure we all did work. This really shows that I have fulfilled thinking and problem solving skills, lifelong learning and intrapersonal skills.
