Space and Sensory
Project 3, termed “Space and Sensory” requires us to re-examine our 1:1 structure from Project 2 - SYMPHONY and further develop it into a series of sensorial spaces. After studying the role of elements and principles in design composition in Project 1, and the role of anthropometrics and ergonomics in the design of spaces in Project 2, we now examine the role of the senses in the creation of architecture. They will re-explore the activity and action in Project 2 individually, and develop it into a conceptual narrative, to create a poetic architectural representation and their own reinterpretation of their 1:1 structure from Project 2 through a series of spaces, with sensorial experiences, via their chosen materials of timber, steel, concrete or glass.

EVERYTHING
This pdf showcase evrything I went through to come up with Shang Xia, My final project for semester 1.
REFLECTION
From this assignment I learnt the importance of narrative, and how to reflect it on my model. I got to use what I learnt during the module on to this project, such as ergonomics, materiality, and most importantly - sensory. First, to create a narrative. narrative is something that should reflects my own experience, and I used it to express my thoughts on celebrating gaining and losing. I spent time talking with my friends and tutors which help me in solidifying my ideas and how to execute it out. I also had to figure out how to use the material effectively to get the desired result, and also need to learn about the joinery and such. It was hard trying to follow the tight schedule for this assignment. But I managed to pull through we an end result that I am proud of. This really shows that I have fulfilled thinking and problem solving skills, lifelong learning and intrapersonal skills.
